Sometimes you can determine the content of a periodical just by looking at the cover. However, there are times when it can be very difficult to determine whether a periodical article is from a scholarly, popular, or trade periodical. In an effort to make this process a little easier, Jill Shoemaker created a spreadsheet that gives some tips on what to look for and some examples of each type. How to use MetaLib on and off campus

MetaLib is a portal provided by Ex Libris that allows library patrons to access databases provided by their institutions. It not only allows students on campus to access the libraries online services, it also gives off campus users the ability to access resources available from their university.
